Let the holiday cheer begin! Literally… Sausalito is rolling out a Holiday Cocktail Competition (Gingerbread Old Fashioned, anyone?) you definitely don’t want to miss.
This weekend kicks off Marin’s annual arts-and-crafts-faire season, with cozy community centers, handmade treasures, hot cocoas, and — depending where you go — a Santa (or even a seal??) sighting.
Speaking of sightings — last chance to spot migraiting raptors is now. The best spot is in our 5 fun things below.
Enjoy,

Your Guide to Marin’s Holiday Faires 2025
Where to browse, shop & gift local this season
The Muir Beach Holiday Arts Fair (Dec. 6 & 7) returns for its 40+ year tradition of coastal charm and handmade magic. More than 40 local artists fill the community center overlooking the Pacific with jewelry, ceramics, textiles, ornaments, wreaths, and gifts you won’t find anywhere else. Enjoy the ocean views, food + drink, and warm neighborhood vibes.
The Mill Valley Holiday Craft Fair (Dec. 6) brings together a great mix of new and returning artists for a full day of handmade holiday shopping. Expect everything from woodwork and ceramics to jewelry, knitwear, plants, and festive decor — all inside the beautiful Mill Valley Community Center with easy parking.

San Geronimo’s 56th Annual Holiday Arts Faire (Dec. 6) returns with more than 30 local vendors who fill the community center with handmade gifts, plus live music, tasty soups and sweets, kid-friendly crafts, a greens workshop, and Anny’s beloved holiday singalong. And you bet — a visit from you know who between 12–2 pm.
Novato’s Holiday Crafts Faire (Dec. 5 & 6) features over 50 artisans selling handmade crafts including jewelry, ceramics, specialty foods, wreaths, ornaments, bath and body products and more. There’s entertainment and food throughout the event, and it’s a “cash-friendly” faire — meaning some vendors are cash-only… so bring a little extra just in case.

Sausalito’s 19th Annual Gingerbread House Tour & Competition (Dec. 8-31) turns the whole town into a holiday treasure hunt. More than a dozen local shops and restaurants build imaginative gingerbread creations — from Storybook Tales to Salty Sausalito — and you get to help pick the winners. Grab a map and wander Bridgeway, Caledonia, Old Town, and the waterfront to see them all. New this year: a Holiday Cocktail Competition, with festive sips to sample and vote on as you go. 🍸
