As we all know, Thursday is the unofficial start of the weekend. And last I checked, tickets for tonight’s talk with Michael Pollan (see #1) were still available.
Having attended Andrew McCarthy’s talk last week, I’m recalling/reliving the peculiar joy of sitting with a bunch of strangers, enchanted by a Brat Pack original, craning our necks and laughing at every quip, while our husbands sit quietly beside us. (It turns out mine NEVER EVEN SAW Pretty in Pink??? How’s that even possible? For a fellow Gen-Xer? anyway…) For the record, the talk was truly insightful and sparked some meaty conversation on the topic of male friendship, and more broadly, the very human need for connection. (Also he’s still really, really cute.)
And, somewhere in Marin (#5) you’ll find 1,000 birthday cupcakes.🧁
